Celebration of Women’s Health
Hosted by King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center - Jeddah

The World Health Organization has declared March 8th of each year as the International Women's Health Awareness Day. For the past years, the Department of Medicine at King Faisal Specialists Hospital and Research Center - Jeddah and Academic and training Affairs has organized an Annual International Women’s Health Update Conference, as a service for the Medical Community.

This year, the celebration of women’s health awareness is expanding to include not only the whole hospital, but the community as well. Our week-long celebration include the following:

Sunday March 9, 2008
Women's Awareness Open House Day
Target: Community

1. Exhibition
Venue: Hospital OPD reception area
Time: 9-4pm
Language: Arabic and English
Participants: All relevant hospital departments will have booths to offer free screening, counseling and provide educational materials. There will also be raffles for prizes from sponsors as well as for discounted hospital services.


2. Community Lectures
Venue: Hospital Auditorium, 4th Floor

1. Breast Cancer in Saudi Arabia
2. Cardiovascular Disease in Women
3. HIV in Saudi Women
4. Balancing Career and Family
5. Domestic Abuse
