كم هو جميل عمل الخير فما بالكم بعمل الخير في رمضان فيتضاعف الأجر سبع مرات؟ قدمت الجمعية السعودية الخيرية لمكافحة السرطان في الرياض خدمات لأكثر من 2135 مريضا خلال النصف الأول من هذا العام. عندما قابلت الدكتور عبد الله العمرو رئيس الجمعية في أحد المؤتمرات وجدته إنساناً يحمل هموم الناس بصدق وإخلاص، فهو يعمل مع زملائه في الجمعية على مساعدة ودعم مرضى السرطان المحتاجين الذين تردت ظروفهم المادية نتيجة الإصابة بالمرض. المهم طبعاً هو توفير الوسائل لمكافحة هذا المرض في الوقت المناسب.

الدراسات كشفت عن أن ألف طفل يصابون بالسرطان بأنواعه كافة في السعودية سنوياً. دفعت هذه الأرقام المواطنة عادلة بنت عبد الله بن عبد العزيز رئيسة جمعية سند الخيرية لدعم الأطفال المرضى بالسرطان. ولأن المسلم النافع لا يعيش مشغولاً بذاته معزولاً عن الناس فإن جمعية (سند) تسند وتساند بخدماتها الإنسانية جميع مناطق السعودية من مقرها الرئيسي في الرياض. تقدم (سند) تسعة برامج للتخفيف من معاناة 600 طفل مصاب بالسرطان كان آخرها إطلاق برنامج "لعبة ترسم بسمة" برعاية إحدى الشركات التي تبرعت بـ 650 لعبة شهريا تقدم للأطفال لمدة عام كامل.
من الجمعيات الخيرية المشرقة كالشمس أيضاً الجمعية الخيرية لرعاية الأيتام (إنسان) وقد صرفت أكثر من 67 مليون ريال على مختلف برامجها وأنشطتها التي قدمتها خلال عام 2006 في برنامج كفالة اليتيم. المسلم الحقيقي يفهم معنى الإنسانية ويدرك مسؤولياته في المجتمع الذي يعيش فيه، ولهذا لم يتوقف عمل جمعية (إنسان) عند هذا الحد, بل قدمت برنامج الرعاية التعليمية وتابعت الأبناء دراسياً, فهي تنظم دروس تقوية للطلاب وتأمين أجهزة حاسب آلي وحقائب مدرسية. وها هو مدير عام الجمعية صالح اليوسف يتابع أعمال الجمعية في مجال الرعاية الطبية في مختلف الأمراض، ومنها السرطان والمخ والأعصاب والأسنان وغيرها في العديد من المراكز الطبية والمستشفيات والعيادات المتخصصة.
وتمد شواطئ المنطقة الشرقية أياديها البيضاء لأبنائها بالعطاء شكراً للنعمة وطلباً للأجر والثواب فيقبل المواطنون أفراداً ومؤسسات ليشاركوا جمعية البر في المنطقة الشرقية في أعمالها الإنسانية. وعندما تقابل الأمين العام للجمعية الدكتور عبد الله القاضي تلمس عبر ابتسامته الهادئة وتصميمه تأكيد ثقة المجتمع بمؤسسات العمل الخيري. المسلم المؤمن يمد يده بالخير والعون, ومن هذا المنطلق أسهمت جمعية البر في الشرقية عبر 28 عاماً بعدة مشاريع خيرية مهمة مثل المساكن الميسرة والمساعدات الشهرية الدائمة والمساعدات الصحية ومساعدات الزواج والمساعدات العينية والمساعدات الطارئة وحتى مساعدات أسر السجناء والأسر المحتاجة ومشروع كفالة الأيتام ومركز مشاعل الخير ومركز التنمية الأسرية.

إن فعل الخير وبذل المعروف من قواعد الدين ومحاسن الإسلام.. فلنتعاون في حمل الأعباء في مواجهة صعوبات الحياة والنكبات عملاً بقوله تعالى: "وأحسن كما أحسن الله إليك إن الله يحب المحسنين".

Being an aerobics teacher and an avid dancer, Rachel Ewer, 36, didn’t expect to be diagnosed with breast cancer.

Doctors were also taken aback that somebody as young as her (she was 32 then) could suffer from the disease. After a year-long therapy, Rachel won the battle.
Today, she is a supporter of Bur Juman’s "Safe and Sound" Breast Cancer Awareness Programme, which is celebrating its 10 anniversary this week.
"This campaign is important because we cannot turn a blind eye to a disease that kills unless detected early on," said Ewer.

"The problem is that people think it will not happen to them or anyone they know. But one in nine women gets breast cancer at some point in their life so one cannot overlook the disease."

Ewer said she ignored a lump she detected for months. "When I finally gathered the courage to get it diagnosed, it was because the cancer had spread to my lymph nodes."

Rashid Hospital statistics show that 9,621 people in Dubai suffered from breast cancer between 2002-2006.! But this could be just the tip of the iceberg. "The one thing lacking is comprehensive statistics," said Sabina Khandwani, head of public relations and marketing at Bur Juman. Until such time, Khandwani said that creating a multi-layered plan to tackle the disease is important.

Susan Tabler, a breast cancer survivor and member of the programme’s steering committee, said: "Our aim is to provide information about treatment facilities and provide transportation facilities for women because the only radiation centre in the UAE is in Al Ain and women find it difficult to go there for daily radiations."

Sharla Musabih, social worker and committee member said, "Due to cultural factors, women in this region don’t! talk about it and many don’t understand it. A campaign like this puts breast cancer at the forefront."

جمعية مكافحة السرطان تواصل صرف مرتبات للمرضى المحتاجين


تواصل الجمعية السعودية الخيرية لمكافحة السرطان صرف رواتب لمرضى السرطان المحتاجين الذين يعالجون بمستشفيات منطقة الرياض.
واعتبر رئيس مجلس إدارة الجمعية الدكتور عبدالله بن سليمان العمرو أن هذه الخطوة من النشاطات والخدمات التي تقدمها الجمعية لمرضاها تسهيلا لظروفهم المعيشية، وتحسينا لوضعهم النفسي، وتخفيفا من العبء المادي الذي يثقل كاهل المرضى وأهاليهم نتيجة إصابتهم بالمرض.
وقال // انه تم إقرار هذا البرنامج لما لوحظ من سوء في الظروف الاقتصادية لبعض المرضى وأسرهم، وعدم قدرتهم على تحمل تكاليف الحياة اليومية، نظرا لإصابة عائلهم بالمرض، حيث يتم صرف تلك الرواتب من حساب الزكاة الخاص بالجمعية،// .
ويعتبر هذا البرنامج إضافة جديدة إلى الخدمات التي تقدمها الجمعية للمرضى كالإعانات المادية المقطوعة والإسكان والمعيشة والخدمات الاستشارية وتوفير الأجهزة للمرضى ومواصلة رسوم الدراسة، وغيرها.
وأشار الدكتور العمرو إلى أنه تم وضع ضوابط وإجراءات لصرف تلك المرتبات حيث يتم التأكد من وضع المريض المادي والاجتماعي من خلال قسم الخدمة الاجتماعية بالجمعية، ويتم أخذ التوصيات بالصرف من الأخصائيين والأخصائيات الذين يعملون في المستشفيات الحكومية المتخصصة.
